The February security updates have been released. 12 in all (13 if you count the always updated Malicious Software Removal Tool), covering Windows, Office, IE and others. Surprisingly absent from the updates is Vista. Though software that runs on Vista, like Defender, may have updates, none of the ‘Windows’ vulnerabilities is with Vista itself. Is this a sign that Vista really was written better, and is more secure, or is Microsoft holding back updates for Vista as long as they can to avoid bad launch publicity? Only time will tell.

- MS07-009 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows (KB927779)
- MS07-010 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Malware Protection Engine, affecting Windows Live OneCare, Windows Defender and other antivirus clients (KB932135)
- MS07-011 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows (KB926436)
- MS07-012 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows, and Visual Studio (KB924667)
- MS07-013 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows, and Office (KB918118)
- MS07-014 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Word (KB929434)
- MS07-015 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Office (KB932554)
- MS07-016 - addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer (KB928090)
