Download link: Defender will update itself, Engine Version 1.1.2101.0 contains the patch. To check your version, in Defender, click the ‘Help Options’ arrow next to the ‘Help’ icon and choose About Windows Defender. If it’s not up to date, choose Check for Updates from the ‘Help Options’ arrow.
Comments: Not a ‘Vista’ issue specifically, but all versions of Vista come with Defender, so they will all likely be affected.
