You may receive a “Stop 0×0000007E” error message after you enable the BitLocker Drive Encryption feature in Windows Vista

After you enable the BitLocker Drive Encryption feature in Windows Vista, you may receive a “Stop 0×0000007E” error message that resembles the following:

STOP 0×0000007E (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

There is a download that resolves this issue. See Hotfixes for details. This issue is resolved in SP1.
